Typing and custom text

The typing engine processes keystrokes in your browser. This application does not send your practice input or custom text to an application database. Custom text is held in the current page and is not saved across reloads.

Local storage

Typecraft uses browser local storage for up to 100 detailed session summaries plus compact activity totals, lesson milestones and per-key attempt/error statistics. It also stores preferences such as theme, sound, typing settings and the selected vocabulary. Session summaries include date, duration, practice mode, speed, accuracy and errors. “Clear saved progress” removes session, streak, lesson and weak-key progress; browser site-data controls can also remove preferences. CSV export downloads the recent session summaries to your device.

Hosting and fonts

The hosting provider may process technical request information such as IP address and browser information to serve and secure the site. Your hosting provider's privacy terms also apply. Fonts are included with this website and served by the same hosting provider; no Google Fonts request is needed. If fonts cannot load, system fonts are used.

Ads and analytics

This edition does not include third-party advertising scripts, analytics trackers, payment processing, or marketing forms. Before adding any of these services, this notice and any necessary consent controls need to be updated to describe the actual implementation.

Your controls

Use “Clear saved progress” on the progress page to remove your local results, or clear this site's storage through your browser settings. Copying a result only writes to your clipboard; you choose whether and where to share it.
